We know that every business needs the most effective service for its needs at a reasonable price, allowing it to operate with peace of mind while ensuring the security of its property. Let’s examine the monthly cost of securing an industrial or logistics facility to determine which service is the better choice.

MANNED SECURITY

It is common for every industrial or logistics facility in the country to have manned security. We don’t intend to eliminate on-site guards entirely; rather, our goal is to optimize security by combining manned and video surveillance, reducing costs while maintaining safety.

While security should never be compromised, it’s worth exploring whether any optimization is possible.

Manned Security Plus Video Surveillance

Conclusion

These figures clearly show that for securing large industrial or logistics facilities, mixed security systems (manned guards plus video surveillance) offer better financial results.

More importantly, using both systems allows you not only to save money but also to leverage the strengths of each. Video surveillance can prevent potential crimes at the earliest signs of suspicious activity and help keep the guards disciplined. In turn, guards will perform their duties more diligently, complementing and verifying the effectiveness of the video monitoring system.

Endless advantages. Consider this approach, and if you have questions or need further details, we would be happy to assist.

MANNED SECURITY

Every residential construction site requires security outside of working hours, when the site is empty. Typically, this means two people working in shifts—two nights on, two nights off. Due to low wages, these positions are often filled by retirees, which in an ideal scenario is sufficient to secure the site.

However, it’s important to account for absences due to illness, vacations, or tardiness, which requires a budget for substitute personnel.

Here’s an approximate monthly calculation if the contractor hires their own security personnel:

• Salaries, social contributions, and all payroll-related expenses for two guards at minimum wage: BGN 1,450

Video Surveillance

How does the calculation look with video surveillance from our company? It’s simple:

Security of the Service

It’s important to highlight the security advantage of our service—our operators are well-paid, motivated, trained, and work 24/7 shifts. We monitor the entire site continuously and can prevent incidents before they occur. Additionally, software monitors the operators’ attention and focus.

As you can see, with LiveWatch video surveillance, the client not only saves a significant amount of money monthly but also receives higher-quality and more reliable security.

If you have additional questions or specific inquiries, we would be happy to answer them and provide a free audit of your security needs.

Video Surveillance and Security

In the field of security, technologies are advancing at the same rapid pace as in other sectors of life. Over the past few years, we’ve witnessed the emergence of cameras, devices, drones, and other innovations that represent a technological leap—all at a very reasonable cost accessible to a wide range of users.

As a result, the development of video surveillance in security has grown rapidly and has now become an affordable service for almost any company.

What do companies offer on the market?

Many companies provide video-related security services for clients who need to protect various types of properties—private homes, infrastructure facilities, factories, warehouses, and more. It’s important to highlight the differences between “live video surveillance”, which we provide, and “video verification”, which most other companies offer.

Video Verification

Simply put, video verification services rely on security systems where a property or perimeter is “protected” by motion detectors. When motion is detected, cameras are activated to observe the area.

In this case, there is no continuous monitoring—only partial surveillance. Operators do not watch every camera or property; they monitor only the cameras triggered by an alarm. This allows one operator to oversee hundreds or even thousands of cameras across multiple locations.

This makes the service cheaper but significantly less secure. Experienced intruders often know ways to bypass alarm systems, and if that happens, a video verification system may fail to prevent theft or damage.

Live Video Surveillance

With live video surveillance, cameras are always active. Human operators monitor them in real time, while software tracks, verifies, and analyzes every movement on the property. If any suspicious activity is detected, the software immediately draws the operator’s attention, ensuring continuous monitoring and a much higher level of security.

Live video surveillance does not rely on alarm-based systems, as the constant human and software oversight provides comprehensive protection. While the number of cameras one operator can monitor in real time is limited, making live video surveillance more expensive than video verification, it is still far more effective than on-site security guards—both in terms of cost and quality.

What kind of security system should you choose?

The choice depends on your needs and the level of protection required for your property. Video verification might suffice against casual intruders or minor incidents. However, if your property demands a higher security standard, live video surveillance is the only suitable solution.

We hope this clarifies the differences between the services offered on the market. If you have any questions, our sales team is ready to provide quick and professional guidance.
